What Is The Invitational?

The Drift Games Invitational (run in collaboration with Club Loose Ireland) is an event held over two days, with 14 hours of open track time, run across multiple layouts at Mondello Park. With an emphasis on style, exciting driving and endless track-time, the Drift Games Invitational aims to put ‘smiles on faces’ of both participants and spectators. Want to take part as a driver? Read on to find out how …

The Drift Games invitational ‘Golden Rules’

  1. You must take pride in your car, mechanically and aesthetically
  2. You must have respect for the venue, staff & your fellow participants
  3. You must follow all event rules and regulations

Sounds simple right?! Well, let’s get into the nitty gritty…

THE APPLICATION PROCESS

Once event entries go live (we will give due warning on social media 1 month before each event) head to this very website to enter via the form below. In this application form, you will be asked a number of driver related questions and to provide pictures of your car for assessment. Our team will pick the best 100 cars/drivers from said applications and provide them with a private payment link. Accepted drivers must pay within 48hrs or their spot will be given to the next suitable driver in the queue.

Please Note: Transferring your driver entry is NOT PERMITTED WHATSOEVER under this system, so make sure you can commit to the event before entering. Payments made for one event cannot then be refunded or moved to another event once paid.

Car Aesthetic Regulations

Drift Games Invitational events are all about driving hard and looking good. Style is subjective, but these are the minimum requirements we enforce at each event:

  • Your car must start each event with all body panels attached.
  • Your car must run front & rear lights (real, blanks or covers allowed)
  • Your car must run aftermarket shock absorbers (coilovers) and be lower than stock height.
  • Unpainted fibreglass panels are not allowed.
  • Mis-matched painted panels are not allowed.
  • Previous crash damage must be repaired (or hidden) to a reasonable standard.
  • Crash bars (front or rear) must be covered by a bumper.

Likelihood of Acceptance

Cars that look good/presentable are more likely to be accepted. Aftermarket kits, wheels, liveries and good stance/fitment will all be looked at more favourably, as that driver faces real consequences on track, meaning he/she is more likely to have a cautious (beginner) or precise (pro) approach to driving at the event. This doesn’t mean we favour pro cars or high-budget builds over lower horsepower builds, just cars that have ‘style’. With the Drift Games Invitational being a spectator and media-friendly event, we want to showcase the sport in it’s best light to current & future fans.

Further Event Questions

Please DO NOT contact Drift Games or Club Loose Ireland members of staff directly on social media. Please use our hey@driftgames.life email for all your Drift Games Invitational questions. This allows us to keep track of all your enquiries and make sure they are answered accordingly.

See you trackside at our next event!
